Charter Requirements

Organizations are required to re-chartered on yearly basis during September of the current academic year. Complete the charter form found on Aggie Life. Submitted charters will be reviewed by Campus Activities to verify the documents are in compliance with the Administrative Policies and Procedures of New Mexico State University. When it has been signed by the Director of Campus Activities, a notification will be sent to the organization.

 

Membership

Membership required is a minimum of ten students registered for the current semester at the main campus of NMSU.

Advisor

The organization is required to have at least one advisor who is a full time faculty or staff employee of NMSU.

Officers

The officers of the organization must be full time students (graduate or undergraduate) registered for the current semester at the main campus of NMSU.

By-Laws

By-Laws must be submitted in a “word” document file and approved by Campus Activities. Email ca@nmsu.edu to request a template for organizational by-laws.
