Organizations are required to re-chartered on yearly basis during September of the current academic year. Complete the charter form found on Aggie Life, or click the link below.
Submitted charters will be reviewed by Campus Activities to verify the documents are in compliance with the Administrative Policies and Procedures of New Mexico State University. When it has been signed by the Director of Campus Activities, a notification will be sent to the organization.
A president (or chief student leader) and treasurer (or finance officer) are the required positions, however, other officer positions may (and should) be officially listed on your organization’s roster so that they may access the information and resources that are available through Student Involvement and Leadership Programs (formerly Campus Activities)..
The organization is required to have at least one advisor who is a full time faculty or staff employee of NMSU.
The officers of the organization must be full time students (graduate or undergraduate) registered for the current semester at the main campus of NMSU.
Upload the most recent version of the organization’s constitution for review and approval by Student Involvement and Leadership Programs. (Formerly Campus Activities). The organization will be contacted if any changes to the constitution are needed. For new organizations or organizations changing their constitutions independently, there is a checklist of components required to be included in an organization’s constitution.
